El Rafas is a mexican restaurant off Hildebrande. One of my mom’s favorite places to eat, she says it is the most authentic in her opinion. Tortillas both corn and flour are hand made and delicious. The plates have generous portions and their daily specials come with tea. The tacos are huge. Restaurant has great food, the building itself both inside/outside needs work but don’t let that deter you from trying. Highly recommend
Came for dinner and the atmosphere was very nice . The pork chop taco was amazing and juicy. The enchiladas are delicious like homemade and I’m not a fan of enchiladas so, that means they are delicious. The waitress was very nice and had a smile on her face. I will come again.
I left San Antonio 15 years ago and wanted carne guisada. OMG the best thing I tasted in 15 years vato loco!!!!!!
El Rafas is worthy of all the love of San Antonio, Tx. Our family has been visiting here for years. The service is always quick and the food is very delicious! Always ready to accommodate our large parties, especially now that they’ve expanded with a new room. I am excited to see all the renovations and continue to visit with my family for many years to come. Lots of great memories here and the best flavors.
